ASID Brasil and Fundação Telefônica Vivo have teamed up again to carry out another project for the inclusion of people with disabilities (PcD), a new edition of Solidarity Vacations. This is a program where volunteer employees of the Telefónica Group, who work in any country where the company has its headquarters, donate 15 days of their vacations to promote social and educational activities around the world. ASID was responsible for managing the program and for articulating the Foundation and the Primavera School, the institution that received the project, in Curitiba. In all, there were 10 volunteers from different countries, such as: Spain, Argentina, France, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile and also Brazil. But how did everything work out? more

Telefônica Foundation and Escola 29 de Março: Volunteers from 7 countries together for a cause

Fundação Telefônica Vivo has developed the Solidarity International Vacations, a project within the volunteer program in which employees can sign up to dedicate 15 days of their vacations to voluntary work in institutions and social projects. In 2017 ASID was a partner in the development of the project, which took place from July 31 to August 11 at the Escola 29 de Março in Curitiba, Brazil. The purpose of the edition was to develop some areas of management and pedagogical activities of the school, which emerged as a demand of management and employees. more

Samsung and Instituto Gabi: social and technological experience

In 2017 ASID carried out a project in partnership with Samsung and Instituto Gabi, a NGO that works to promote skills and abilities for people with disabilities with a view to social inclusion. The goal was to support Samsung in creating a corporate volunteer culture and, through action, it was possible to promote employee integration, the direct interaction of the company in the cause of people with disabilities and a social and technological experience to those attended by the institution. more

SAP and APABB: impact through sports

The Games of Good is an SAP project that had ASID as executor in 2017 in Rio de Janeiro. Its objective was to promote inclusion through sport, to promote the role of people with disabilities and to integrate volunteers and people with disabilities. For this we have the APABB (Association of Parents, Friends and Disabled of People Employees of Banco do Brasil and the Community), which through the Movement Project already promoted the sport for athletes with intellectual disabilities. more

PWC and AAEB: Mentorship program recognized internationally

The Mentorship program, which was the result of PwC Brazil’s partnership with ASID and AAEB (Association of Friends of the Exceptional People of Brooklin), began in May 2017. From the first meeting until the end of the program, the managers of the institution were very open and dedicated, making the mentoring process a success and AAEB to achieve a 16% growth in its management. more

ASID Brazil and Gemalto make projects to build an inclusive society

ASID promoted three major projects in partnership with Gemalto, all aimed at raising the awareness of its employees regarding the inclusion of people with disabilities in society. The first in the Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais (APAE Pinhais) and was the “Your Desire is Our Smile”, with the main objective of realizing dreams of the beneficiaries of the institution. After a survey made with the beneficiaries themselves, it was decided to take what they wanted most: to attend a special session of cinema. more

Copel and APABB: corporate volunteering in the service of inclusion

The project “Prepares People with Disabilities – Building the Future” received the Copel Susie Pontarolli Trophy and consisted of a volunteer action to prepare people with intellectual disabilities for the job market. It can be divided into two moments, in the first the volunteers of the company went to the Associação de Pais, Amigos e Pessoas com Deficiência, de Funcionários do Banco do Brasil e da Comunidade (APABB) to participate in a training on the reality of PcD in Brazil and the transfer of didactic material to the volunteers. more
