Our mission:

We provide the evolution of the institutions that attend the disabled person through the improvement of the management.

Increasingly, ASID innovates to promote the evolution of institutions serving the disabled. For this, we always work for free in several areas and where there is opportunity for improvement and will for growth, ASID will be there.

Our methodology is focused on the management of institutions and on the connections between them, seeking the exchange of experiences and capacities. Our services are free to the institutions and divided into 3 areas: Management Support, Network Strengthening, Volunteer Programs and Diversity.

Metodologia

LEARNING ABOUT THE SCENARIO, PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES, PROPOSING IMPROVEMENTS.

IDEE is a tool composed of 26 indicators and 143 assessment items which show ASID, as well as the institution, the institution’s potential, opportunities for improvement and the scenario in which it is inserted. With this data and a careful analysis, carried out by the ASID team, an ample and in-depth view of eight different areas is presented: social impact, human resources, legal management, financial management, fundraising, marketing, leadership and hard infrastructure.


TRANSFORMING IDEAS INTO QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.

The Ideation Project is a methodology created by ASID, focused on helping groups of people who wish to create an institution which benefits people with disabilities, since they will require support to create and develop this institution. This methodology is yet another new activity which is starting in 2015 and is already being done with two institutions!

FOCUSED ACTION. THE FIRST STEP IN THE PATH TO CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

The next step after the IDEE is the administrative assistance, which consists in an institutional development project focused on the needs acknowledged by the institution and pointed out by the IDEE. This way, the project is constructed and executed together, making it the first step for the existing institutions to enhance their management.

EVOLUTION THROUGH FOLLOW-UP

After the application of the first IDEE, if the institution requests it, there will be a new application of the IDEE. In addition to receiving the diagnosis, together with the institution, ASID creates quarterly objectives, which are followed up in person and for which all the support is offered in order to reach the proposed results. This year, an institution will receive the diagnosis for the 5th time.

COFFEE APPROACHING, INTEGRATING AND DEVELOPING

 

In the last week of each month, breakfasts are held with a discussion on an issue related to the management of institutions. Every cafe has a host institution that stands out in the theme in question, which welcomes everyone in its headquarters, providing breakfast, and shares with the group its successful practice. In addition, ASID always invites an expert on the subject to bring a more external vision to the reality of institutions.

VALUING VIRTUES AND PROMOTING EVOLUTION FOR ALL

 

Institutions often have similar realities, problems, difficulties, and similar strengths. With that in mind, ASID decided to compile good management practices found in our network to disseminate solutions and ideas that could be useful to other institutions. With this, we try to approach institutions believing that the difficulty of some can be the strength of others, so that they can develop with the help of each other.


SYSTEMIC CHANGE FOR A GLOBAL TRANSFORMATION.

The global management project focuses on institutions that have already received their IDEE and, preferably, have also received their Administrative Assistance Project. Therefore, Global Management consists in a series of individual training and assistance in all areas of management, so that small and large changes can occur in an orderly manner.


RECOGNIZING AND VALUING TO APPROACH AND INTEGRATE

 

With the application of IDEE, ASID awards the three best institutions of the year in 12 different categories, with the objective of recognizing them. In addition, it also aims to direct the other institutions so that they can learn and exchange experiences with the reference of each area.

VOLUNTEERING IN THE SERVICE OF EVOLUTION

 

Throughout its history, ASID has created several types of volunteer activities, which include reform actions, training, direct actions with beneficiaries and others. All this so that more and more institutions can grow and always offer the best to all.

THE INCLUSION THAT GENERATES BENEFITS TO ALL INVOLVED

 

Include is a methodology created by ASID Brasil after many studies on the diversity and inclusion of people with disabilities in the labor market. The work allows the beneficiaries of the ASID Network institutions to come into contact with the world of work, developing autonomy, independence and all its potential.
